The Chandler Education Foundation (CEF) is proud to recognize 55 Chandler Unified School District (CUSD) employees who received Lifelong Learning Scholarships to pursue advanced degrees, professional certifications, and specialized training.
This year, CEF awarded more than $92,000 to educators and staff advancing their knowledge in areas including teaching, administration, nursing, dual enrollment, business leadership, and more. By investing in CUSD employees, these scholarships strengthen classrooms, schools, and opportunities for students across the district.
The scholarships are made possible through the generous support of Subaru and Subaru Superstore of Chandler, which contributed $30,000 this year through the Subaru Share the Love® Event. Over the past decade, the partnership has invested more than $400,000 in Lifelong Learning Scholarships, helping hundreds of CUSD employees continue their education and expand their expertise.
For Amber Rogers, Catering Sales Manager with CUSD Food & Nutrition, the scholarship is helping her pursue a degree in Business Leadership while balancing work and family.
"Receiving the Lifelong Learning Scholarship from CEF has truly made a difference in my life as a working mom going back to school. It's helped me stay focused and keep pushing toward my goals," said Rogers.
Another recipient, Michelle Daly, assistant principal at Santan Junior High, is pursuing her Ed.D. and shared what the scholarship has meant to her.
"Thank you so much for the CEF Scholarship! I am so grateful to be able to pursue my Ed.D., and this scholarship was such a blessing. With five kids, I honestly never thought I would have the chance to follow this dream," said Daly.
Lifelong Learning Scholarships provide eligible CUSD employees with up to $2,500 per year for up to two years to pursue advanced degrees, professional certifications, and specialized training.
