CEF and PTO's - Working Together
Chandler Education Foundation has been a non-profit fundraising partner of CUSD for more than 36 years. Our goal is simple; we invest community support into educational opportunities, paving the way to lifelong success for CUSD students. Together, we make a difference.
Each school site has a CEF Liaison to help us get the word out about our two annual fundraising events, Cash for Classrooms and the Winner's Choice Car or Cash Raffle. We are not here to compete with PTO or booster organizations for fundraising dollars; we're here to help. By connecting with your site liaison, you can stay informed about when our campaigns will run and learn ways to advocate for your school staff and encourage them to apply for grants and scholarships.

Need Volunteers?
Our IMPACT Chandler Scholars program engages CUSD students in a 4 year commitment to academics, attendance and community. Students must complete 100 hours of volunteer service in the community. These students look for opportunities to volunteer throughout the year and we would love to connect them to you! If you have an event and need high school volunteers, please let us know and we will gladly post your need on social media and on our website. Complete the following form to submit your information.
What We Do
CEF serves our CUSD family by funding the following:
- Teacher/School Enrichment Grants: Funding up to $1,200 for a school-wide initiative, or $500 for an individual classroom need
- Lifelong Learning Scholarships: Supporting teachers with up to two $1,000 scholarships to help pay for advanced degrees or certifications
- Social/Emotional Learning: Investing in educating students about positive connections or curricula designed to foster a sense of community in school
- IMPACT Chandler Scholars: Recognition and reward program for students who commit to academics, attendance, and community
In addition, CEF assists with the following:
Donor scholarships: Over 100 scholarships are awarded annually to graduating CUSD students pursuing a college education. CEF is the adminstrator for these scholarships and assists with the reading and award process
Student/Employee Crisis Fund: CEF assists CUSD when an emergency may warrant support. These requests come from each school site administrator.
